Comments on the pure power one

I have used a number of highly regarded power conditioners over the years, and the Silver Circle pure power One 5.0 and 3.0 both stand alone as the best I have experienced.

From a parts and build standpoint, these units are beyond reproach: built like tanks, and using over-specified parts of the highest quality.  Impressive!

The 5.0 and 3.0 do what all good conditioners do: lower the noise floor, resulting in greater detail and smoothness, mostly noticeable in the upper midrange and high frequencies.

But the Silver Circle Audio units do more: because of the huge amount of energy available from the monster transformers in the 5.0 and 3.0 (and because of the quality of the parts), there is a feeling of power, drive, and richness in the bass and midrange that sets these units apart from even the best of the rest.  No matter what the sound system, these qualities are unmistakable, and not available from any other product in my experience.

There is absolutely no loss of dynamics when plugging an entire high-power audio/video system into either the 5.0 or 3.0.  If there is a difference between the two in sound, it is that the 3.0 sounds slightly softer – perhaps sounding slightly more like a transformer than the 5.0, but very pleasant nonetheless.  I could live with either in my system, and indeed I do live with the 5.0!

As a bonus, Dave Stanard is a great guy, concerned about his customers and his products.
